Flank steak cuts are always an excellent option for home grills. Its delicious flavor and smooth texture make this meat one of the favorites for barbecue lovers. In addition, one of its great advantages is that there are not many difficulties in its preparation and cooking process.
An excellent variant in its preparation are some practical flank steak skewers, since they combine their juicy meat with vegetables seasoned with rosemary. In these skewers, the secret touch is rosemary, a traditional ingredient of Mediterranean cuisine to flavor various dishes.
If you are interested in knowing how to prepare these skewers, you are in the right place, as we will share with you the process of making this culinary delicacy. The most important thing in this recipe are the ingredients that will have the special marinade that the flank steak will have.
What ingredients does the special marinade have?
- 40 grams of sesame
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tablespoons of soy
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 4 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- Rosemary branches to taste
How much meat and vegetables do you need for this recipe? [H2]
- 600 grams of flank steak (for 4 skewers approximately)
- 250 grams of bacon
- Pumpkin slices to taste
- Red onion slices to taste
Now let's move on to preparation. The approximate time to have the skewers perfectly cooked is around 30 minutes. The process is quite simple and you will not need to invest great efforts to cook them, just do not forget to have at least 4 wooden skewer sticks.
The first thing to prepare is the juice mixture for the marinade. In a deep container you have to place all the first ingredients mentioned above (with the exception of rosemary) and stir vigorously for approximately 3 minutes and let it rest for at least an additional 2 minutes.
While the marinade rests, we will take the opportunity to cut the portion of flank steak into strips, as well as the pieces of bacon. Do not forget to have sliced ??pumpkin and red onion.
With the marinade ready, in the same container we will add the flank steak pieces to bathe them in the juice for about 10 minutes so that the flavor completely penetrates all the strips.
The next step will be to place the protein and vegetables on the skewer sticks in the following order. First the strip of flank steak, the slice of pumpkin, the piece of bacon and finally the slice of purple onion, and so on until the entire rod is occupied.
Step # 5:
With the grill ready to grill, we will place the skewers on the fire and we will place the rosemary branches on top. This will heat the rosemary to impregnate the skewer with its characteristic aroma of fresh pine and walnut. You should cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side of the skewer.
Ready! you already have your skewers ready. Remember that after removing the skewer from the grill, you will need to let the meat rest for a few minutes so that it is not excessively hot and can be rehydrated with the juices released.
